CASTLE COVE is heir to the legacy of Smallwood Farm's renowned hunter/jumper sire CASTLE MAGIC.  Also standing at Smallwood Farm are Tobiano paint HANDSOME and pony sire SMALLWOOD PARIS.

CASTLE COVE

Dark Bay, Thoroughbred, 1994, 16.1½ h., by Castle MagicFirst Cachet, by Acaroid.  Nominated International Hunter Futurity & AQHA Incentive Fund.  Fee: $750 Live Foal.  

Castle Cove is by Castle Magic whose offspring have won over $175,000 in International Hunter Futurity competition, Best Young Horse at Devon 5 times, and Championships at Harrisburg, Washington and the National Horse Show.

As a 3-year-old, Castle Cove was Reserve Grand Champion at the International Hunter Futurity East Coast Regionals.

Castle Cove is the sire of Masquerade's Cove, 2004 USEF National & Zone 3 Yearling Filly Horse Of The Year, 2004 International Hunter Futurity Champion Yearling Filly and winner of the VHSA and PHSA Yearling Futurities.  

Castle Cove is also the sire of 2003 IHF East Coast Reserve Champion 4-Year-Old National Anthem and 2003 IHF 3-Year-Old Regional & Finals ribbon winner Silver Belle.  Other winning get include 2002 IHF East Coast Reserve Champion 4-Year-Old & IHF Finals class winner Gee Eye Janey; and  Crystal Cove, 2002 Upperville & Keswick Non-Thoroughbred Yearlings winner & USAEq, Zone 3, 2002 Reserve Champion  Yearling.

Castle Cove's early crops of outstanding individuals produced  Quiet Cove, winner of the foal class at Upperville in 1998; and A Formal Affair, 2nd in the Midwest Regional IHF, 4th in the IHF Challenge Series, and winner Western Pennsylvania Horse Show Association Yearling division for 1999.
